Black, White and a little Red.

Linda at flourishingpalms reminded me indirectly, to get on and post something. 😍 Thanks Linda for the push I needed.

My latest finish is a quilt for my Son & DIL in Brisbane, Australia. I started this mid 2021, but have just finished it. I had my friend Judi Schon in Auckland machine quilt it and I love the circley design, we decided on.

The pattern was free, but I think it's a paid for pattern now. It is called Twirla by Butterfly Threads.

Back of the quilt

I made it larger than the pattern. The request was 100 " wide and 84 " length to accommodate the footboard. I took the quilt to our local group meeting, so I could get the girls to hold it up for a photo, as it was too big for my floor space.

Thanks for dropping by

Your quilt is lovely! I enjoy monotone quilts with a splash of color. It was good to hear from you again. I and everyone else would appreciate posts more often about what you're sewing. And as always, happy stitching!

Oh gosh, Sue! I'm so glad you shared this beautiful quilt! It truly is gorgeous! Very modern-looking. Such a lot of work to piece, but I love that block. The way it gathers in the center is really neat - spiral-y. Your placement of prints, and those spots of red, are simply perfection. I'm glad you got it longarm quilted, else you would have spent more time quilting than piecing! Your longarmer did a really nice job. It's such a generous gift... though what we won't do for our children, right? Well done you!

Neat quilt. I like the bit of red in the field of white and black. Well done.
