Well here we go again, apologising for the tardy blog writing. Never mind here I am.
I have been sewing the latest in the Annual Doll Quilt Swap run by Lori of Humble Quilts. I think this is my 4th year of swapping, and its really exciting waiting in anticipation for that parcel to arrive in the post.
This year for the second time ( accidently) I swapped with Sharon Tucker from Blaine WA.
It appears as though Sharon forgot to take a photo of this before she posted it to me, so I hope this will do for her album. :-)
The quilt she sent me is lovely, and I could be tempted to make one using the same block pattern. Sharon also sent me some lovely cards and an American Patchwork & Quilting magazine.
Leafing through the magazine, I found a really nice quilt that tickled my fancy with the thought I might make one. I was blown away when I realised the pattern was an original by Sharon herself!
This was the quilt I made and sent to Grace in USA. As it was nice and small I hand quilted it.
Thanks for dropping by

Neat small quilts! Love them
It looks like a lovely swap Sue....what you received and sent are both gorgeous.
I'm happy to see you're still blogging, and obviously participating in quilt swaps! Both quilts are adorable. I too think it's surprising that you picked as your favorite, your swap mate's pattern in "American Patchwork and Quilting" magazine! You obviously have similar tastes. I always think one of the best things about quilting is how we can always find a friend... one who likes what we like, and appreciates what we do. I'm glad you were able to do both.
