to show you the progress however slow, I am making with Mrs Billings.
No problems as yet with my fingers, but I have to get up every now to stretch my back as that seems to be whats getting to me. Later in the day I take a walk to the road gate ( only about 100 metres ) to close it doing stretching arm exercises as I go. Haha must look funny, but we dont have any close neighbours! :-)
Ive had to undo some of what I’ve done, and redo it, as I’m still getting back into the swing of hand quilting after not having done any for about 9 years. So hard to get those stitches even…
Thanks for dropping by

Looking ever so pretty! Gosh you will be pleased with the end result. I do exercises too, getting up from quilting & doing my stretches!
Sure looks lovely Sue.
so great that you are hand quilting - this quilt is such a historic type of quilt that hand quilting really goes with it doesn't it. I too have to get up every so often and move around when quilting
Your quilt looks lovely...hand quilting is so nice and soft :)
You are moving along quite quickly on Mrs Billings. Definitely a good idea to get up and do some stretching and walking around especially when you have been sitting for so long.
So beautiful. So glad that you are hand quilting this ... It's just begging for hand quilting, don't you think?
how lovely!!!:)
WOW -looking good. Admittedly it is nice hand quilting on these warmer winter evenings too.
This is a beautiful quilt, Sue. And that you're hand quilting it is a big undertaking! I bet by now you've managed to accomplish a whole lot more. Hope the fingers and back are holding up!
How's the quilting going? Very quiet your end ! :)
