I cant believe we are almost at the end of January, and I haven't posted since November when I arrived home. We seem to have been busy just mucking around these last 4 weeks of our holiday break, but have had some lovely family time, with my dear son and daughter-in law here for a week from Brisbane.
One of the projects I was determined to finish, so they could take it home, was a quilt for my grand-daughter in Australia.
So...this is my first finished project for 2016.
I was so chuffed that I managed to do the machine quilting on my Bernina 710, and I was very happy with the results.
I used one of my hand quilting templates to draw the design on.
My grand-daughter wanted a white quilt, but I just couldn't do it :-) so I compromised and did a lovely tone on tone white backing. The quilting shows up really well, so she has the best of both.
Washed and dried and in the suitcase for the trip to Aust.
Thanks for dropping by

I'm wondering where the days have gone as well:-) Your grand daughter's quilt is beautiful! And great quilting too!
Wow Wee!! Awesome! Cracker quilting job!
That's a gorgeous quilt....i want one! :)
Beautiful quilting. My sister lives in Brisbane and it is always hard to say goodbye.
Beautiful finish! Well done with the quilting - it actually looks hand quilted - which is quite a compliment :)
Your granddaughter's quilt is bright and crisp. And I thought at first your quilting was done by hand. Beautiful. Enjoyed reading your past posts. Sounds like you were in Houston for the festival this past fall. Me too! So much fun!
